California Theater Closes Due To BedBugs | California Bedbug News

I know one thing that would make that new scary movie a little scarier, how about bedbugs in the theater!

Unfortunately this scenario was all too real for a handful of California moviegoers at the Lodi theater. One told a local TV station, “I was itching a little in the theater, and my daughter later pointed out to me that I had a few bumps on my back…I woke up the next morning with a rash all over my body. My daughter had bumps on her legs and arms.”

The theater in question planned to stay closed during extensive de-bugging however refused to confirm whether the infestation was bedbug related. It was however due to the numerous complaints of bites by moviegoers that forced the theater to close for inspection in the first place.

One pest control expect treating the theater told reporters that the bedbugs potentially ended up in the theater from hopping on human hosts. In a statement from theater management the business claims that there was “limited evidence of insect activity in a few auditoriums” and plans to reopen soon are in effect.

I am not sure about you but I will stick to the home theater for a little while. What do you think?
